Queridos compañeros,
There are many ways you can take action to increase educational equity. Participating in an election is a big one and this November you will have the opportunity to make a difference on both ballot measures and candidates.
Como se señaló en el Marco Antirracista de la Asociación – “Transformative change leading to racial equity requires empowering all three ways of addressing racism – Individual, Institutional, and Systemic”
Individually – Educate yourself about Propositions (15 & 16) and School Board candidates.
Institutionally – Educate your community by using El Fideicomiso de Educación-Oeste tool kits and posting the Partnership’s Equity Statement en su sitio web.
Systemically – Create systemic change through equity-based public policy. Affirmative action (Proposition 16) and funding for education (Proposition 15) are both on the ballot.
Here are three ways you can start, THIS WEEK, to take action:
On September 28, 4-5 PM Partners are invited to hear from Canal Alliance and The Education Trust-West to learn about the equity-centered initiatives on this November’s ballot – reinstating affirmative action (Proposition 16) and increasing school funding (Proposition 15). Learn about tools and resources to help you vote, conduct voter education, and get out the vote. REGÍSTRESE AQUÍ. | |
